Reptiscape Casuarina Cones are an excellent way to enhance the look of any naturalistic Terrarium, Vivarium and Aquarium! You can also boil these cones to create a black water extract for a tadpole tea or add natural tannin to an aquarium.  Casuarina cones come from an Australian native pine tree species in the Casuarinacaea family. The native range extends from Thailand, New Caledonia, and South to Australia.
Casuarina cones are similarly used like Alder cones to increase the tannin in and aquarium. Shrimp enthusiasts love these little cones! The physical characteristics of cones attract a biofilm, providing an interesting foraging surface for the shrimp to feast on.
